Our society has been conditioned to fear birth. At Sweet Home, we firmly believe that the more people learn about birth, the better our chances at making a positive change in how we birth. This applies at the macro level - women preparing to birth - but also in a broader sense - our society as a whole needs to understand that birth is a natural physiological process. Though painful, birth is not a process that is designed to fail. We are not too frail to birth our babies. In most cases, we need not rely on technology and drugs...we must only teach women not to be so afraid.

In that spirit, we hope to offer up a steady stream of information on birth, babies, breastfeeding and more. You'll find suggested reading, book reviews, articles, free downloads and videos.
